David Bateson took over Busselton Motor Group 18 years ago, starting with three new vehicle franchises and a total of eight staff.
Today the business employs a total of 30 people and has an additional new vehicle franchise to now offer Hyundai as well as Mitsubishi, Mazda and Suzuki.
There is also an additional dealership for Mitsubishi and Hyundai sales at number 14 Bussell Highway, 40 meters away from the original 20 Bussell Highway premises.
Both yards have a comprehensive range of pre-owned passenger, SUV and light commercial vehicles, but that's not the only thing that makes Busselton Motor Group special, according to David.
"Sure we have some of the world's best products available to suit all manner of motoring needs but the passion and commitment to our customers from our people is second to none and I am so lucky and proud to have people working with me that share in our company values of honesty and integrity," he said.
"Each has an equally important role to play in delivering to our customers the best possible level of service we can and always deliver positive outcomes to all."

"I believe this shows through to our customers as well with so many of them regularly dropping in with cakes for morning tea, or to have a cup of coffee or even just to say hello to find out how things are going."
One of the biggest challenges Busselton Motor Group is facing as a small rural car business is actually staying in business, and according to David every time someone buys their new or used car from out of town it makes it that much harder to pay the bills.
"We have already seen this in town with closures of other yards," David said.
"One thing I have always maintained that you should not have to pay for the privilege of buying locally but if it is a product available in town that you want that's where you should buy it. "
"If we don't sell cars to local people we will not be around to service or help out if something does go wrong with their vehicle."
"The future of the motor industry, as with most industries, looks challenging but I am excited given some of the changes that are coming," he said.
