The Voices of the Vasse is a sweet adelines chorus which sing four part harmonies a Capella (unaccompanied without music).
There are four such choruses in WA, the Voices of Vasse are the only country chorus and the smallest, they are also, the only chorus from WA that will attend the 30th Sweet Adeline National Convention in Hobart.
Voices of Vasse coordinator Anthea Cornish said they would travel to Tasmania in May, and the group were feeling extremely proud to represent Busselton and WA.
"The conventions are held every year, but due to economics, our last competition was in 2017. We have 17 members flying to Hobart and have put in many hours of practice for this event," she said.
"A week before we leave, we are holding a family and friends night to showcase our singing and thank those who have been supporting us throughout the year."
The family and friends evening will be held at the Busselton RSL at 7pm on Tuesday, May 7. Entry will be a gold coin entrance with proceeds going to charity. The bar will be open, and nibbles and a light supper will be provided.
Anyone who would like to attend and listen is most welcome and the choir would love an audience. For more information, please contact Ms Cornish on 0418 913 110
