The state government has called on young people aged 18-25 to apply for an opportunity to experience Hong Kong as part of the International Youth Exchange Program.
In August, 12 delegates will be chosen to participate in the program to meet their Hong Kong counterparts. The Hong Kong delegates will visit Perth in October.
Now in its third year, the program gives young people the opportunity to develop self-confidence, build international networks, improve their understanding of different cultures and gain exposure to potential career options.
Youth Minister Peter Tinley said the program offers young Western Australians an invaluable opportunity to discover more about each other's cultures and lifestyles.
"I urge young people between 18 and 25, especially those from regional areas and from Aboriginal and multicultural backgrounds, to apply for this fantastic experience."
Applications close on May 13, 2019. More info at www.yacwa.org.au.
