The boys took on Boyanup on Saturday on a wild, windy, rainy day. To be fair the ground held up well and a decent hit out took place.
Bombers where undermanned from the start, travelling with 16 players and playing 15 a side.
Some massive special mentions to Alex Higgins who played injured, along with Tristan Drake playing with stitches.
Without these two players the team would have had to forfeit. The first quarter was played in wintry fashion - plenty of wind and rain.
Playing with only 15 a side left quite an open ground. Both teams started well with two goals each in the first.
The Bombers were a player down for half of the second and the third quarter, with a yellow card and a player coming off injured, but the midfielders ran well all day and some great rebounding football from the back line drove the ball forward and Bombers scored well for the rest of the day.
Inaccurate kicking kept us from kicking a big score with the finals scores: Boyanup 5.3 (33) - Bombers 11.19 (85). Next game is June 22 - Bombers vs Kakkas at Bovell. Come down and cheers the boys on.
