Major Fraud Squad detectives have charged two people as a result of their investigation into an extortion incident involving a Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member.
It is alleged about 12.30pm on June 14, 2019, the men attended the Busselton home of a 54-year old man.
The men allegedly threatened the victim with physical harm and property damage if he did not provide them with money.
It is further alleged they drove the victim to an ATM and forced him to withdraw a sum of cash.
A 40-year-old man from Australind and a 31-year-old Rebels OMCG member from Australind were charged with demanding property by oral threats; detained another with intent to gain a benefit; and aggravated robbery.
The 40-year-old man is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 20 June 20, 2019.
The 31-year-old man is next due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on July 15, 2019.
During the arrest of the 40-year-old man by Major Fraud Squad officers at a Bindoon property it is alleged a small amount of drugs were located resulting in a 36-year-old Parkerville man being summonsed to appear in court at a later date on drug offences.
