The four-year-old mare Purest Silk recorded her third win of the season with an all the way victory at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Awarded the good draw of barrier 1 reinsman Aiden De Campo had one intention in mind, leading. Blessed with good early speed the daughter of Rocknroll Hanover was able to hold out noted speedster Maczaffair who started favourite and The War Nurse who had to retreat to the rear. Getting away with some slow early sectionals Purest Silk survived a late surge from favourite Maczaffair,The War Nurse and Come Dance With Me, only a margin of one metre would separate the four.

The Colin Reeves trained Blockjorg would contest the $30,000 Gold Bracelet for fillies on Friday night and with the favourites drawn to her inside the task looked difficult.

Starting from 5 and rated a $71 chance reinsman Morgan Woodley had Blockjorg in the ideal position of one out one back in running, with the favourite Some Copper Beach controlling the tempo and getting away with some cheap sectionals up front the task was made difficult for the rest of the field to make ground and Blockjorg did well finishing fourth; only beaten by 10m.

Trainer Ashleigh Markhams stable has hit a purple patch of late when the young trainer would take three runners to Gloucester Park on Tuesday night for a win a third and a forth placing.

Twentynine Twelve was perfectly driven by Markham when settling three back the fence In running he was able to dart the gelding through the field when the leaders started to wilt and hook to the outside and won full of running.

Dreadlock Rockstar continues his consistent form with another third placing. Positioned three back the rails he to would also rail late before getting to the outside and running on strong.

Falling Starzzz a filly that looks to have talent but her racing manners are some what wayward but after doing things wrong early would rally late for a close up fourth.

Millwood Polly and Cheer The Major would run second for The Howlett stable on Monday at Pinjarra and Cavalry Call also placed second continuing his good form.
