Round Seven of the Onshore Cup saw the top two teams in Dunsborough Yallingup Mullies and the Busselton Bombers face off at Sir Stewart Bovell oval.
With both teams coming into the game undermanned the stage was set for a fiery clash, after Dunsborough took the honours earlier in the year.
In the first quarter Dunsborough came out with a point to prove.
Kicking the first three goals of the game they appeared to be all over Busselton.
But a move by sit-in coach Josh Fleay to move Sam Schreurs to the ruck and two late goals seemed to steady the ship for Busselton.
In the second both teams had periods of momentum, with Busselton kicking another two goals and Dunsborough kicking one goal.
But with less than a goal in it going into half-time it was set to be a grudge match in the second half.
The third was pretty much the same as the second, with neither side giving an inch.
And at three-quarter time Dunsborough held a slight lead over Busselton going into the last.
In the fourth, with both teams running on empty, it was Busselton who managed to find another gear and come out on top, kicking three goals to Dunsborough's nil.
The Busselton Bombers getting one back on Dunsborough.
Final scores
Busselton 9.2 (56) to Dunsborough 6.7 (43).
