Local runner Isabella Bidesi is keeping busy in the off season away from the athletics track having recently won the South West Primary Schools Associations Interschool Cross Country competition for the fourth time.
Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School hosted the event which saw several schools from across the South West attend.
Isabella is about to embark on her first state team journey by representing WA at the Australian Cross Country Championships in NSW in three weeks.
Competing up a few age groups in the under 14s, she will travel east with several other athletes with the Athletics WA team.
Prior to competing over east she is looking forward to gaining some racing practice by competing for her local primary school Our Lady of the Cape, at the School Sports WA Cross Country Championships in Perth this week where she will race with approximately 300 Year 6 girls and then representing Bunbury Little Athletics at the Little Athletics Cross Country Championships the week after.
