A fifth placed Busselton United under 15's taking on top of the table FMR Rovers was always going to be a tough match.
Coming off a one-all draw playing the development squad the previous Monday, United were pumped and ready to take on top of the table Rovers.
In the first half it was end to end football with both teams putting lots of pressure on each other, but it was United continually pressing, who opened the scoring tally when Valentin Kay took advantage of a gap in the midfield, breaking through the Rovers' defence and slotting the ball safely past the keeper.
United's second goal came before the first half when young Valentin again found himself unmarked between the half way line and the 18 yard box, striking the ball to sail straight over the keepers hands in to the back of the net. United went in to the half 2-0 up.
The second half saw FMR Rovers change their line up, with Finley Angove, switching out of defense and linking up with Fred Sanderson to immediately put pressure on the United defense.
Fred Sanderson scored Rovers first goal dribbling the ball around United's defense to put Rovers on the tally sheet.
With just four minutes of the game left, United were fighting to retain the score and hopeful win at 2-1, however a corner kick resulted in a scramble in the box, with Finley Angove scoring the equaliser.
A fantastic effort from both teams.
