A South-West man has been acquitted of historical sex offences involving a girl who was 15 at the time of the incident.
The adult man pleaded not guilty to three charges which included showing the girl pornography, touching her inappropriately and pulling down her bikini bottoms.
It was alleged the incidents occurred at the home of a family friend in 2007 when the man invited the girl over for a spa.
They had been communicating for several months through social media.
A jury acquitted the man of all charges after a trial in the Busselton District Court.
In instructing the jury on how to reach their verdict, Judge Michael Bowden said that even though the victim did not make a complaint to police until 2018 it did not mean the incident did not occur and there could be a reason why it took time for the victim to come forward.
Judge Bowden said the accused told the court he had been undergoing therapy for bipolar and depression and that his memories were affected by injuries he had sustained.
