Busselton Allsports Incorporated is the force behind the Busselton Jetty Swim, made up of 18 passionate community members who have dedicated thousands of hours throughout the year to the event.
With a bumper year planned for 2020, the committee have worked extremely hard since the last swimmer crossed the line.
Next year's event promises to have new and exciting initiatives and loads of fun, free-family entertainment and attractions on offer.
With the swim celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2020, the committee will be marking the occasion with a showcase 'Busselton Jetty Swim Silver Anniversary Celebration' concert and fireworks and exhibition at Railway House.
The free family concert is an opportunity to commemorate the milestone plus to thank the community for continually supporting the event.
Committee member Sinan Kerimofski said the great vibe of the swim, plus their focus on participation, affordability, accessibility and community contributed to the success of the swim.
"I joined the committee 16 years ago as I witnessed the impact the swim had on our community and the difference it made in people's lives," he said.
"It is such a pleasure to be involved in the event as the enthusiasm and passion of the committee has never wavered over the years.
"This event is proof that there is a need for a participatory grassroots event that swimmers of any age or ability can give it a go.
"2020 will be an opportunity for us all to reflect on the last 25 years of the Busselton Jetty Swim and to step back and take note of how it has come in that time".
Registrations for WA's iconic swim around the longest timber pile jetty in the Southern Hemisphere opens at 5am on October 1, 2019.
