It was Busselton Tennis Club's big day at their new Barnard Park club house last Saturday, October 12.
With all 15 brand spanking new and green manicured grass courts being open for play, well over 60 members and visitors were keen to try out the new tennis centre's facilities for the first time.
Barry House, Busselton Tennis Club's president welcomed everyone to arguably the 'best regional tennis club in Australia' while emphasising the significance of this move from their old club site on Marine Terrace as being a major step in the unique 100-plus year history of the club.
He also thanked the valuable contributions the member volunteers had made during the entire joint venture process with the City of Busselton.
The official opening of the new Busselton Tennis Centre will be from 12 noon to 9pm on Saturday, November 23, with an open invitation to past, present and potential members, including friends and the general public who are all most welcome to attend.
All tennis play is now being conducted at the new site with attractive updated membership packages available.
Visitor play and court hire information is accessible directly via the club's website: busseltontennisclub.com.au and at Busselton Tennis Club's official opening.
