The team from Fostering and Assistance for Wildlife Needing Aid were finalists in the United Nations Associaiton of Australia Environmental Action Award.
The team of volunteers organise wildlife rescues and rehabilitate sick, injured or orphaned native fauna in the South West.
FAWNA president Suzanne Strapp said it was a fabulous honour and while they did not take home the gong it was still a testament to their fabulous team of wildlife carers and volunteers.
