Bunbury and Busselton's tennis clubs are making some last-minute changes ahead of the 2020 Australian National Seniors Championships.

From January 5 to 17, the competition will attract tennis players from across Australia and overseas.

Held by Seniors Tennis WA in partnership with Tennis West, the tournament will include age group divisions ranging from 35 to 80+.

The ITF Grade A competition offers singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events in five-year age brackets.

The City of Bunbury provided the Bunbury Tennis Club with a $3500 grant to assist with court maintenance costs.

Bunbury Tennis Club president Jeff Glossop said they were expecting more than 1000 players and spectators.

"We are now getting the courts in order - making sure they're in pristine condition prior to the tournament," he said.

"We'd like to thank the City of Bunbury for their overwhelming support."

Head to the club's Facebook page for more details.
