A Marybrook man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death following a fatal head-on collision in Capel on Thursday evening, January 16.
Police allege about 7:30pm, a Ford Falcon sedan travelling along Bussell Highway travelled onto the wrong side of the carriageway before colliding with a Volvo semi-trailer.
It is understood the collision caused the semi-trailer to leave the carriageway and roll.
The driver of the semi-trailer, a man in his 70s, died as a result of the crash.
The 55-year-old driver of the Ford Falcon, a Marybrook man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Friday, January 17.
Bussell Highway remains closed in both directions between Stirling Road and Tuart Drive, Capel.
