The Liberal Party of WA is looking to form stronger ties to the South West ahead of the March 2021 state election.
Government representatives will visit the region on January 29 and 30 for this year's Liberal Party Shadow Cabinet.
The party will meet with local governments and community groups in a variety of places, including Bunbury, Harvey, Collie, Donnybrook.
During the trip, WA opposition leader Liza Harvey will also be visiting Busselton and Margaret River.
Mrs Harvey said the trip would help them to gain a greater understanding of the region's tourism, retail, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors.
"The Liberal Party has a proud tradition of taking Cabinets and Shadow Cabinets to the regions, including Busselton, to make democracy more accessible for all West Australians," she said.
"In particular, we are heading to Busselton to listen to local small businesses and the local community in the region to better understand the local issues, challenges, and opportunities.
"Like everywhere, we will also be talking to people about the impact that cost of living increases, unemployment, and falling house prices are having on families and local communities."
Mrs Harvey said the party was eager to listen to community members of varying ages and backgrounds.
"Gaining this important understanding will assist the Liberal Party in formulating election policies for the region, ready to be rolled out closer to the next election," she said.
Vasse MLA Libby Mettam will be hosting Ms Harvey in Busselton on January 28, 2020.
The purpose of the visit is to listen to small businesses and the community to better understand the local issues, challenges and opportunities.
Ms Harvey will be attending a range of meetings with different stakeholders and meeting with community groups and volunteers.
There is an opportunity to hear the opposition leader speak and support the Busselton and Dunsborough Yallingup Chamber of Commerce Breakfast at the Esplanade Hotel from 7.30-9.30am.
