The Dunsborough Bowling club has entered the first two months of the new year with a busy calendar which includes interleague events, club championships as well as a hosting the league championships.
Jean Kelly led her team which included Gail Barry, Nina Boyne and May Armstrong to a decisive victory in the fours championships which have just been finalised.
Not losing a game and winning comfortably on all of them the Kelly team also accomplished an "eight" score against a team on their way to victory.
Amazingly another "eight" was scored at the same time on the rink next door by a team skipped by Maureen Hines.
Coming in runners-up with one loss and one draw was the team headed by Helen Reynolds and comprising of Liz Wilson, Lorraine Bell and Judy Henderson.
In the next few weeks ladies and men will be holding single, novice, veterans and triples champs.
Bowlers are also nominating teams for Country Week with the Dunsborough ladies champion fours team for 2019 eager to defend their title.
