Australian rock band Eskimo Joe, sea shanty pirates and aspiring young artists are set to take the stage at the Busselton Foreshore for the Busselton Jetty Swim's 25th Silver Anniversary Concert and Fireworks.
The free community event will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 with thousands of people expected to flock the foreshore.
Headline act, Eskimo Joe will be supported by The Anchormen from Bunbury who promise to warm up the crowd with their swashbuckling folk songs and larrikin fun.
The Anchormen captain Colin Anker said if you liked traditional folk music and singing loudly, or enjoyed singing What shall we do with the drunken sailor then shanties were your thing.
"Kids love singing and dancing to our songs as much as the blue rinse crowd do," he said.
"We are super excited to be performing at the Busselton Jetty Swim's 25th silver celebration concert in February and supporting such an iconic Australian band."
In addition to the array of entertainment on offer, Busselton Jetty Swim has partnered with Battle of the Bands in 2020.
The annual youth music event showcases the best youth music artists from the region as they put their talent to the test to claim the Battle of the Bands title.
The event will be held over two nights, with heats taking place from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, February 7, followed by the finals the following night from 5pm to 6.30pm.
The event is for performers aged between 11 years and 30 years old.
Busselton Jetty Swim event coordinator Di Bruce said having the Battle of the Bands included in the program was a great collaboration between grassroots events.
"The opportunity for our youth to support an iconic Australian band and be showcased in front of a large audience is a once in a lifetime opportunity," she said.
"The Busselton Jetty Swim and Battle of the Bands is all about participation, community and working towards personal goals, so there was no second thoughts when the idea of collaborating was presented to us," she said.
