The Busselton Art Society held its 61st Art in the Park Awards and event over the Australia Day long weekend.
The exhibition saw hundreds of pieces of artwork on display in Mitchell Park in Busselton showcasing some of the region's best artists.
Society patron Ian Stubbs handed out the awards at a ceremony on Friday marking the start of the exhibition.
More than 40 prizes were awarded to artists for paintings depicting a local theme area and the Australian lifestyle.
Other awards included the mayor's prize, encouragement awards and best pieces using different materials.
Artist Miranda Free received the award for best overall most outstanding painting for her work An Infinity of Jonquils.
Marilyn Bowden was awarded the mayor's prize for her piece Possums.
Lee Hamlyn won the best painting depicting a local theme area for her acrylic piece Injidup.
Aileen Alder received the Ian and Rhonda Stubbs encouragement award for her piece Bubbling Brook.
