Today is the last opportunity to obtain tickets to hear paralympian Brant Garvey speak as part of the SunSmart Busselton Half Marathon event on February 8.
The Busselton Golf Club will host the event and put on a three course meal while people listen to ambassador Garvey's inspirational story.
Garvey was born missing his right leg above the knee and was told he would never be able to run.
By age 28 he had long accepted this excuse and from the outside his life looked fine.
He was newly married and working a full-time information technology job.
But on the inside, he felt directionless, like he was just coasting along and gaining weight sitting behind a desk.
Garvey had no sense of purpose and struggled just to get out of bed. He needed to make a change.
"When we try to make a change, we always look for the quick fix. We think we'll find a secret tip or technique that will turn our life around and transform everything. But it's never that easy. Real change takes hard work, and even more than that, it takes a change of mindset. We need to stop making excuses and hold ourselves accountable" Garvey said.
Garvey wants to inspire you to be more and live your life to the fullest and hopes that you will join him and see how embracing the No Xcuses Mindset can completely turn your life around.
Tickets are available today at the Busselton Runners Club website: busseltonhalf marathon.com.au.
