The Mike Brown sponsored Men's Veteran's Championship two-day event has just ended at the Dunsborough Bowling Club with each game throughout the event producing quality bowls.
Brian Logan who was the runner-up in last season's novice cup showed his capabilities when he found himself in his first veteran's title fight.
His opponent was seasoned Kevin Gibb who relished the opportunity to play in another championship final.
Both bowlers are competent leads and this match promised to be close.
Each were front runners at various times but never looked to run away with the match.
Logan managed to string together four winning ends and pulled away by 5 shots to lead 14-9 with first to 21.
He was looking confident and those watching thought he may stay in the lead.
However, Gibb scored 4 on the very next end and from there on there was no stopping him when he went on to win the next 5 ends to take out the title 21-15.
The plate was between Mike Brown and Toby McCarthy.
This game was played in two halves with equal shots in the first half until Brown managed to take the lead over five ends which made it difficult for McCarthy to make up the required ground.
Brown came out the winner 17-11.
