Anglers are gearing up to hook a classic catch at this year's Blue Water Classic hosted by the Naturaliste Game and Sport Fishing Club.
The annual classic is a boat and land based fishing competition, which is open to the public and will be held across the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, February 15 and 16, 2020.
Naturaliste Game and Sport Fishing Club member Jason Albrey said anyone could enter they just needed to register and attend the briefing night, which takes place from 5pm on Friday, February 14.
Mr Albrey said there were some great prizes up for grabs across eight different fish species in each section of the competition.
"Most of them are cash prizes," he said.
"There are also really great door prizes you do not even have to catch a fish to win a $3,000 fishing trip."
Door prizes include a Montebello Islands fishing trip, a Mackerel Islands trip and a Bremer Bay killer whale expedition.
"There is also a raffle with a wheelbarrow full of goodies," Mr Albrey said.
"There are also some mystery weights on some of the prizes."
A sausage sizzle will be held at the clubhouse at the end of each competition day, along with a presentation on Sunday.
Weigh-ins take place from 5pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
Entry fees to the competition are $50 for non members, $30 for members and $10 for juniors.
Entry forms are available from Geographe Camping and Tackle World, Dunsborough Outdoor Sportz, 2 Oceans Tackle Busselton or BCF Busselton.
