The City of Busselton's 10-year sports strategy to guide what projects will be funded over the next decade was fully endorsed by council at its meeting last week.
It is anticipated $37 million will be allocated to sport and recreation projects in the next decade with a number of community-desired projects being pushed back.
Projects that missed out will continue to be monitored by the city but were not considered viable under the current population and projected growth figures.
Projects that were given the green light included (but not limited) to a Dunsborough Lakes Sports Park with infrastructure for soccer, cricket and court sports.
An Aussie Rules home base at the Dunsborough Playing Fields, along with an investigation into relocating the Dunsborough Library to accommodate a gym and future pool at the Naturaliste Community Centre.
