Rare and wild weather battered WA's coastal areas as a once-in-a-decade storm bore down on a huge part of the state.
The storm was a result of remnants of ex-tropical cyclone Mangga combining with a cold front and trough, with the southern part of the state bearing the brunt on Monday.
Dunsborough, Margaret River and parts of Busselton were completely without power for some time as 50,000 properties experienced power outages across WA.
An 8.4 metre swell smashed Yallingup's coastline damaging a bridge at Canal Rocks.
Wind gusts up to 132 kilometres per hour blasted Cape Leeuwin in Augusta, with Cape Naturaliste in Dunsborough recording wind speeds of 116 km/h.
Duggans (near Margaret River) had 51.6 millimetres of rain, Margaret River 51.8mm, Harman South Rd 50mm and Wilyabrup 47.4mm.
