After much patience and anticipation, the community of Nannup is thrilled to proceed with their annual Flower and Garden Festival in 2020, albeit in a restructured format to comply with social distancing rules.
One thing the pandemic did not stop was people's love of gardening, in fact it accelerated this passion in many people, and introduced others to this nourishing and fulfilling activity.
This year's festival will extend from August 13 to September 20 meaning people can choose their own days to visit a town in full bloom of more than 10,000 tulips.
During the festival people will be able to visit a number of open gardens which will be scattered throughout the region.
Market stalls will line the main street during the weekends and numerous displays will dress up the South West town.
Botanical stylist Lara Rose Bos will work with a team to create a large floral mandala in the village green, a spectacle that people will be able to visit for the duration of the event.
Festival organisers have also created a competition to challenge visitors and name the many iconic trees planted within the town's boundaries.
The festival has stayed focused on people's love of gardening encouraging visitors to explore the town, its beauty and its people.
Other activities and events will unfold in the coming weeks, including special guest announcements.
