Residents in Vasse and Kealy are invited to take part in a Community Tree Planting Event on Saturday July 4, 2020.
Vasse Estate community development officer Nicole Andrijevic said the event had been organised to look after habitat and wildlife throughout the estate.
The group were initially going to take part in a nationwide event, which has subsequently been cancelled because of COVID-19.
Instead they are encouraging residents to take part at their home or join a team which will be planting native trees along the Wadandi Track.
"We are encouraging people to keep planting trees or native plants in their gardens to encourage wildlife and native flora and fauna in the area," Ms Andrijevic said.
"We will have a team at the Wadandi Track [near the playing fields] which needs some work as we want it to keep looking beautiful and provide a wildlife corridor."
