Police search called off

A police search last week failed to locate a man who was swept off rocks at Injidup.
A police search last week failed to locate a man who was swept off rocks at Injidup.

A police search to to locate a man who was swept of rocks at Injidup Natural Spa in Yallingup was called off last week.

The 23-year old man Heng Yi Goh from Singapore went missing near the end of Wyadup Road in Yallingup at around 5.10pm on June 29, 2020.

The man was standing on rocks within metres of the ocean when a large wave broke over the rocks, knocking him into the ocean.

Police from Dunsborough and Busselton failed to located the man.

A coastal search was conducted and included the use of Police Air Wing drones.

The RAC Rescue Helicopter also conducted a search of the area using FLIR and spot lights in failing light but was unable to locate him.

Dunsborough Police, Police Air Wing, RAC Rescue helicopter, Naturaliste Volunteer Marine Rescue and Smiths Beach Surf Club all helped in the search of the missing man.
