South West residents living with a disability, and their families are encouraged to attend an information session hosted by Sana Living.
The information session will help people navigate their way through applying for Specialist Disability Accommodation.
Sana Living chief operating officer Adam Sargent said the specialist disability accommodation fund had been in operation but many people and their families weren't aware of the range of accommodation on offer.
"There are lots of steps, and lots of time involved, in the extended process to become an approved participant for specialist disability accommodation funding," Mr Sargent said.
"In Western Australia the SDA housing market is still relatively new but growing, and there is still very little known about the who, what, where and how of SDA."
Sana Living Housing Coordinator Tara Brian said the information roadshow will be coming to Bunbury and Busselton on July 29.
She said it was specifically arranged to assist and educate individuals, support providers and coordinators, family members and advocates on the housing options and complexities of SDA.
"Without some education and assistance, the process of determining SDA eligibility, getting access to funding and sourcing a suitable home in a suitable location with a chosen support provider, can at times be challenging," Ms Brian said.
Topics included in the Bunbury and Busselton information sessions will explain clearly what SDA is, how it is funded, eligibility criteria and Sana Living's accommodation options in the South West. A question and answer session will follow.
