South Regional TAFE Margaret River's popular market-driven eatery will commence a series of Saturday Market Brunches later this month.
The Harvest Cafe and Cellar Door showcases both the high quality produce sourced from the Margaret River Farmers Market - adjacent to the TAFE campus and cafe - and the talented commercial cookery students in the kitchen and dining room.
"We will be having a lovely market produce-driven four courses, with included wine to match," said Commercial Cookery Lecturer Amanda Smith.
Ms Smith said the brunch-style dishes will be served during the market opening hours.
"So it's a great chance for people to do their shopping then join us at 10.30 am," she said.
The Cafe also allows students to gain real-world experience with paying diners while using local ingredients to create their menus.
The set Brunch Tasting Menu ($39pp) includes a wine flight featuring student-made wines, plus coffee and tea.
Guests are seated at 10.30am and bookings are advised, with space limited to 30 people under COVID-19 distancing requirements.
As well as operating the Saturday morning brunches, the hospitality and cookery students will offer a series of lunch and morning tea dates throughout August, where diners can enjoy a set lunch special on Wednesdays or select from an a la carte menu on Thursdays.
