Two female veterans have joined the ranks of the Busselton RSL's executive committee, which has a new direction for club.
Under the new committee the RSL will fulfill their roles in the community inline with the regulations of RSL WA.
Newly elected president Glenn Woodward said he was very happy to take up the position and that the Busselton RSL had welcomed new members.
"Especially the two young ladies who have taken over executive roles as secretary and assistant secretary," he said.
"Our vice president Rob Beattie comes with a lot of experience, he is an ex Navy man.
"Rick Winch remains our treasurer, he has done a great job and really ran this place on his own in a key position for the last few years, he has done an excellent job.
"I am really happy he is here because of his past experience he will help us greatly."
Mr Woodward said their main objective was to look after past and current veterans in the community and help them out where they could.
"As part of the RSL our advocacy and welfare team are providing excellent service and are available to assist members both ex and serving and their families," he said.
"Please, if you are struggling or need advice the team is there to help you.
"I believe with this committee we will be approachable and transparent, we are all here to do our best.
"I have been in the RSL for more than 40 years around Australia and in Busselton since 2005 and through my past positions I have very good knowledge of what goes on.
"You do not have to be a member of the RSL to be a social member or have a military background, I hope that people join so we have a good crowd and move forward."
