Students at our Lady of the Cape Primary School in Dunsborough were treated to a visit from Scitech on November 19, 2020.
Scitech science presenters Jordan Campbell and Mita travelled from Perth to hold biological science shows for the students.
The presenters try to reach every school in WA once every three years which sees them travel around the state for 12 weeks of the year with their science tour.
"We have one show for students in pre-primary to Year 3 and another for students in Year 4 to 6 looking at animals, adaptation, evidence they leave behind and using science to figure out what's been in this space before," Mr Campbell said.
"This is the very first show of this tour, typically there is lots of cheering and excitement in the air."
Ms Hill said it was great to get out to the regional schools because the students were always really excited and appreciative.
When they aren't travelling around the state Ms Hill is the STEM schools coordinator who organises events throughout the year designed for high school students.
"It is really important to keep kids engaged, a lot of the stuff we do is exciting for primary school students but it is important to keep the love of science going through to adulthood ideally," she said.
