Locals looking to get involved with the Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival (MRRWF) are being invited to join a pool of volunteers to assist with various tasks.

The festival takes place over three days from Friday May 14 to Sunday May 16, at Margaret River HEART.

Arts Margaret River, organiser of the annual literary festival, will host information sessions for interested locals this weekend.

"With many vital roles at the festival to be filled, Arts Margaret River is looking for volunteers from all walks of life and of all ages," said Festival Director, Sian Baker.

"We're asking people to visit the new Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival 2021 website and complete the online form to register their interest."

Volunteer Information Sessions will be held at the Arts Margaret River Office (Margaret River Community Centre, Tunbridge Street) on Wednesday April 7 and Thursday April 8 between 2pm and 4pm.

The festival lineup was announced last week, with a packed program of authors and presenters set to appear at the festival hub and satellite events over the three day festival window.
