A new exhibition at the Busselton Art Society has been inspired by meaningful phrases that invoke a treasured memory for the artist.
Busselton Art Society vice president Dee Credaro said the exhibition was called The art of words and memories.
"We challenged the members to find a quote or a poem, verse or song title, which was something they connected with that made them remember something that was connected to a memory," she said.
"It could have been a dance title or a particular poem that really resonated with them.
"They were restricted to 10 lines, which are attached to the entries in the exhibition explaining to the public why that piece is a memory for the artist.
"It is something a little bit different and we are always looking at new things to make our artists grow."
The exhibition is running throughout the month of May at the Busselton Art Society located at 6 Queen Street, Busselton in the Cultural Precinct.
