The Geographe Outriggers has celebrated multiple podium finishes at both the Junior and Senior State Titles which concluded the 2021 Summer Series.
Last month the Juniors travelled to Champion Lakes for their WAZA 2021 State Titles competition.
The 16U team won silver in their OC6 (six seater canoe) 500m straight sprint and then went on to take out the silver medal in their OC6 1000m sprint which included three race turns.
Geographe Outrigger Juniors also had remarkable success in the individual events with Will Triffitt winning silver in his 14U Boys Va'a 250m sprint, followed by Thomas Leach winning the bronze in his 16U Boys Va'a 500m sprint.
The 16U Girls Va'a 500m sprint was a close finish with Kara Haynes crossing the line in first place and receiving the gold medal, and Lillia Triffitt winning the silver in second place.
In the final race of the day, Geographe Juniors combined with other WA clubs to compete in the V12 (twelve seater canoe) race finishing in first place and receiving gold medals for their efforts.
Last weekend the Geographe Outrigger Seniors attended their WAZA 2021 State Titles held at Coogee Beach.
This two day event included individual/duo craft races on Saturday, and finished with team OC6 racing on Sunday.
Day one success saw Darren Allsopp winning the silver medal in his Men Senior Master Va'a 10km race along with husband and wife duo, Ryan and Donna Lewis who were awarded the bronze medal coming third in their Mixed Masters OC2 (two seater canoe) 10km race.
Geographe Outriggers did well in their team events on day two with the Women OC6 10km crew finishing in second place winning the silver medal, the Men OC6 14km crew finished in fourth place and the Mixed OC6 10km crew took out the silver medal crossing the line in second place.

The Winter Series kicks off on June 20 in Rockingham for short course marathon racing.
