It was only four years ago that ceramic artist Chloe Baigent found her craft after a visit to her aunt in the US who practiced in the art.
When Ms Baigent returned to Busselton, she participated in some workshops with Tracey Anderson at ArtGeo and started playing around with clay at home.
"It evolved into me building this studio space and buying my own kiln," she said.
"It has been amazing being able to spend some time being so creative.
"While I always dreamed of it I never thought it would happen so quickly, I suppose it is like anything if you focus on it, it ends up being the thing you care most about.
"It has been really nice to have some lifestyle balance. In the last couple of years I have been able to spend a solid two days a week on it."
Living by the seaside, Ms Baigent has been inspired by the ocean with many of her designs featuring etched whales.
She has also been inspired by African patterns which feature on many of her pieces of functional art.
I love the freedom of being able to build anything that is functional.

"I love the freedom of being able to build anything that is functional, it gives me a bit more of a reason to spend time on it as well," she said.
"I am really into doing home hardware at the moment so I have made a hand basin in my bathroom, all the door knobs and pendulum lights.
"The process is really slow so it keeps me focused, I definitely don't have an opportunity to get bored, it sort of forces you to slow down and be more mindful."
This will be the first time Ms Baigent has participated in Margaret River Region Open Studios as an artist.
"I am really excited for the Margaret River Region Open Studios event and to welcome people in to share my process," she said.
"Since I built this studio space I have spent so much time in here.
"The Open Studios event was something I had always planned to do, but three years down the track, now it has come up a lot quicker. "
The talented ceramic artist has already been sharing her process at workshops she runs at her studio.
"It has been really fun, people are really interested in ceramics," she said.
