The stage was set for a top of the table clash in the South West Netball Football League Grand final with the Busselton Magpies going in with some confidence after easily accounting for the Eaton Boomers in the Semi Final.
The Magpies came out swooping taking an early lead 13-8.
The Eaton Boomers had learnt from their previous encounter and started to turn the game around with a 16-10 second quarter to snatch the lead before going onto to assert their dominance in the third term with a big 17-7 quarter which put them in front with a 41-30 lead.
The Magpies continued to fight hard but the deficit proved too much as the Boomers went on to win the match 54-40 and the 2021 SWNFL Premiership.
Eleanor Yates from the Eaton Boomers was awarded the Myvanwy Evans Medal, League Most Valuable Player for the Grand Final.
The Busselton Magpies will hold their Presentation evening next month and Trials for the 2022 season will be held on Saturday 23rd October.
