RAC Helicopter takes seriously injured man to Royal Perth Hospital

Man flown to Perth after dumped by wave

The RAC helicopter was called to Gas Bay, near Gnarabup after a man in his 40s injured his back after being dumped by a strong wave.

The helicopter was called to the incident at 11am, Friday October 15 and was expected to arrive at Royal Perth Hospital about 1pm.

The man is being treated with spinal precaution and while his injury is serious, it is not critical.
