There was a 4 per cent increase in voter turnout for the 2021 City of Busselton local government election on October 16.
The 2019 election had a 30.47 per cent voter turn out compared to a 34.35 per cent in 2021.
Saturday night saw Anne Ryan, Grant Henley, Jodie Richards and Mikayla Love voted into council.
Cr Henley, who is also the current mayor, was the only councillor recontesting his seat to be voted in with 9.95 per cent of the vote.
Ms Ryan was leading the charge during the count and finished with 11.25 per cent.
Ms Richards received 10.91 per cent of the vote and 21-year-old Ms Love rounded out the votes with 8.34 per cent.
There was a large field to choose from with 14 candidates vying for just four positions.
While Ms Ryan is new to this council, she was a Shire of Busselton councillor in 2005 and 2009.
Ms Ryan is currently known for being part of and leading the Bay to Bay Action Group.
The new candidates will be sworn into council on Monday, October 18 and the council will then vote on the mayor and deputy mayor position.
