Season begins for Dolphin Discovery Centre swim tours
When 63-year-old Kathy Thomson retired 11 years ago, re-entering the workforce was not on her radar.
She had spent over 30 years working as both a physical education school teacher, and running a horse riding stable in Boyanup.
But as a diver and windsurfer, Ms Thomson couldn't stay away from the ocean, and joined the Dolphin Discovery Centre as a volunteer.

Dedicated conservation and environmental champion Margaret Moir has been recognised for almost three decades of work and leadership at the 2021 Western Australia Landcare Awards.
Community landcarers from across the state came together to celebrate their achievements at an awards night held in Kalamunda last week.

The 2021 GWM Ironman WA event on December 5 was full of twist and turns before Matt Burton and Kylie Simpson took out the titles.
The 3.8km swim leg started the race but it was the bike leg which saw lead changes in both men and women's category.
