Ghosts, a fairy, a king, a princess and a larger than life monster are just some of the wacky characters taking to the stage in Busselton this January in the popular pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
The audience can sing, laugh and dance along with the mayhem as Jack tries to outwit the giant, his evil henchman and his gang of cockroaches.
Set in the 60's with a Woodstock backdrop and lots of nostalgic 60s music, this age-old story follows a country family who are outwitted by an evil monster, before getting their cow back with the help of a magical beanstalk.
With a magically growing beanstalk, well-known songs and lots of opportunities to let the heroes know 'what's happening behind them', the high energy production is bound to entertain both kids and adults.
The cast of about 30 are all local talent ranging in age from 7 to 47, featuring Ash Jackson, Sara King, Caillin Thompson, Ella Demarchi, Emily Lyons, Amber Knight, Drew Morgan, Veronica Kelly, Henry Booker, Zach Knight and Jake Sheedy.
The show is the latest pantomime to be put on by the Busselton Repertory Club every year, which has sold out every previous time.
While tickets for this show are in high demand and sold out for many of the performances, there are evening and matinee shows still available at very affordable prices.
The show runs until to Sunday 16 January at the Weld Theatre. Evening performances start at 7.00pm with matinees at 2.00pm. Bookings can be made through the website busseltonrepertory.com.au or www.trybooking.com
