ANZAC Day services in Busselton and Dunsborough drew huge crowds.
It was one of the best attended Dawn Service and parades, later in the morning, Busselton has experienced.
As has become customary there was an RAAF flyover of the Busselton Service, which resulted, while waiting for them to appear, in the longest minute’s silence for any service.
A change of venue for the Dunsborough service attracted probably the biggest attendance ever for an Anzac Day service in that town.
The large crowd crammed into the Dunsborough and Districts Country Club and spilt outside the building to listen to the service.
A feature of the Dunsborough service was a poem, from an anonymous person, that was read out.
Coordinator Philip Gifford asked if the author was in the audience, but if they were then they did not reveal themselves.
