Only 5mm of rain was recorded at the official Busselton Airport weather site yesterday, with nearly all of that falling before 9.30pm.
The strongest winds were at the Busselton Jetty, with an 82kmh gust occurring at around 6.47pm last night.
Gusts of between 60-70kmh continued there for much of the night, while the highest recorded winds at the airport were 54kmh, which occurred several times yesterday.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s official forecast for today reads: “
Heavy showers developing during the morning. A few thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon. Gusty winds from the late morning.”
There is the chance of a thunderstorm predicted for tomorrow, with weather progressively easing after that.
