A six-year-old girl is lucky to have walked away unscathed after the vehicle she was travelling in crashed and the driver, her father, was found to be five times over the legal alcohol limit according to police.
About 5.30pm yesterday afternoon police received a report of a white Toyota Landcruiser being driven in a dangerous manner on Layman Road, Geographe.
About six minutes later police received another call to report the same vehicle had been involved in a crash on Bussell Highway in West Busselton.
Police arrived at the scene and spoke to the driver, a 42-year-old man from Geographe, before giving him a breath test which he failed.
He was taken to Busselton District Hospital for further breath testing which he again failed.
According to police the man was five times over the legal limit and was served an immediate licence disqualification notice.
He will charged by summons for one count of DUI.
Police say the fortunately the girl was not injured in the crash.
