A woman and a child have been treated for smoke inhalation after they were rescued from a house fire in Forrestfield on Wednesday night.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services received a 000 call at 11.24pm, with a fire enveloping the front of a brick and tile home on Burtonia Way.
Fire crews from Belmont and Welshpool rushed to the scene, rescuing a woman and child from the home and containing the fire by 11.49pm.
A St John Ambulance spokeperson confirmed the woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation while the child received treatment at the scene.
There are no damage estimates yet, however police are investigating the blaze.
