A BUSSELTON mother will be living out her teenage dream next month as she makes the journey to volunteer in Nepal.
Kate Western said she had wanted to volunteer in an Asian country since a young age and was excited to finally have that chance.
Mrs Western will travel to Pokhara in Nepal with non-profit organisation PoD for two weeks.
“I know we are so lucky in Australia and have always wanted to help people less fortunate,” she said.
In Pokhara she will volunteer at an orphanage, street kids centre and women’s refuge.
To raise funds for the organisation she will be hosting a dinner on September 13 from 6pm at the Vasse Hall.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a meal which can be reheated on the night and bring your own drinks.
Mrs Western is also looking for businesses or individuals who would like to donate funds or prizes for a raffle on the night.
Tickets are $20 and all funds raised will go towards the organisation.
For more information, to express your interest in attending the dinner or to donate contact Mrs Western on 0466 524 775.
