IT’S that time of year again, and with just 14 weeks until Christmas, the City of Mandurah is encouraging people to get their entry forms in to be part of this year’s Mandurah Community Christmas Pageant.
This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland with the pageant taking place on Tuesday, December 9 at 6pm.
There are a limited number of pageant slots available for local schools, community groups and businesses to be part of the parade, with applications assessed on float description.
Entries close on Tuesday, September 30.
The Christmas Pageant is a great community event for families and friends to come together in the city and along the foreshore with a heap of free entertainment concluding with fireworks at 8:30pm.
The City of Mandurah is also inviting local businesses to participate in an exciting Christmas promotion called the Reindeer Trail.
In conjunction with this year’s Winter Wonderland theme, businesses have the opportunity to purchase a mini reindeer, personalise it with their brand and become involved with the promotion encouraging the community to ‘find the reindeer and take a selfie’.
The reindeer will be displayed on the eastern foreshore at the pageant, with the best selfies featuring on the big screens at the event.
The Mandurah Community Christmas Pageant is an alcohol and smoke-free event.
If you would like to enter a pageant float or purchase a mini reindeer contact the events team on 9550 3840 or visit www.mandurah.wa.gov.au/christmas.htm
