A WORLD sailing champion will take part in a special training session this weekend to help coach the future of the sport.
2013 Laser World Champion Tristian Brown will enable local Busselton and Dunsborough sailors to have the opportunity to experience world class coaching from home.
Brown is the coach of the Olympic Radial Youth Team, which means he will be able to provide valuable advise to young local sailors.
The event has been made possible by WA Laser Association committee member Andy Whitell and The Geographe Bay Yacht Club.
Twelve sailors will be attending the weekend some of which will compete in the 2015 Youth Championships in January to be held in Fremantle.
All sailors are invited to come along to the event on September 20 and 21 with organiser Heath Townsend saying Geographe has some of the best sailing waters in the world.
“The opportunity for all the sailors is awesome,” Mr Townsend said.
