CITY of Busselton council have been asked to approve the original design for a new $20 million Civic Administration Building.
Council went back to the original idea for the building after discussions to include a performing arts centre were knocked back at a council meeting earlier this year.
City of Busselton mayor Ian Stubbs said the council still hoped to build the performing arts centre in the Cultural Precinct at the end of Queens Street, near the beach and jetty.
The City’s expanded administration and council facilities were signed off by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Paul Needham and the Admin Building Working Group.
With council approval the project architects will start the next design stage with building work set to start in the next financial year.
Mayor Stubbs said he was happy with the concept plans and awaits the detailed plans which are still in the process of development.
