TWO Saturdays ago my wife and I went to Cowaramup where we were welcomed by many cows in the street, in front of businesses and on the footpaths.
These statues of black and white friesians represent the dairy herds of the area.
The whole project is the initiative of the Cowaramup Lion’s Club and local businesses recognised by the red ear tags in the cows.
The most striking thing was the amount of tourists who were enjoying the day with families taking photos of the children with the cows.
The town’s businesses were teaming with customers which was a delight to see.
Congratulations to all those involved.
I wonder if Busselton could do the same, perhaps with all the fish species in Geographe Bay all along the foreshore
