A police chase in Geraldton ended with the dog squad finding a man hiding in a hole covered with bushes.
Around 8.30pm on Friday police were looking for a car involved in a fuel drive-off when they saw a Holden Ute with no registration plates driving along North West Coastal Highway in Wonthella.
They followed the vehicle into a cul-de-sac where the driver and passenger both ran off.
The driver was caught immediately but the passenger got away.
Officers called in Police Dog Bucky who tracked the man along a sand track into bushland in Karloo.
He was found in a dug-out hole covered in bushes.
A 40-year-old Koondoola man has been charged with reckless driving, failing to stop and having no driving licence.
So far no charges have been brought against the man found hiding in a hole.
